Visiting Protocols in Response to COVID 19
Visiting during the COVID 19 pandemic is guided by orders from the Medical Health Officer intended to protect our residents who are vulnerable in light of their age and health status.
Residents can have regular social visits, minimum 60 mins. Number of visitors at a time is a maximum of 2 adults and 1 child.
All social visits must be scheduled, in advance, with our Social Worker
Essential visits (ex. during critical illness or at end-of-life) will be arranged and supported by our social worker or nurse (after-hours).
Virtual visits and phone calls are encouraged, and can be arranged with our social worker.
Visitors should not visit if they experience any symptoms of COVID 19, however mild
Upon arrival to CCL, visitors will be screened and provided with necessary PPE (personal protective equipment) which they must wear for the duration of their visit. After screening, visitors will proceed directly to the visiting area. After the visit they are to leave directly.
Visitors are eligible to receive a COVID 19 vaccination.
Resident safety is a shared responsibility, visitors should follow all safety protocols and be mindful when having physical contact with their loved one.
If visitors have any questions or concerns please speak to a social worker or manager.
