We are currently recruiting for:

Casual Resident Care Aides
Recreation Program Coordinators

The ideal candidate will have a degree in geriatric recreation/therapeutic recreation. CTRS and Class 5 Driver’s license preferred. Must have current CPR/First Aid and Food Safe. The successful candidate will develop, implement, evaluate and deliver a wide variety of programs that cater to the specialized needs of our population. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to: assessment, documentation, administrative responsibilities, working with volunteers and members of the interdisciplinary team.

Social Worker

The ideal candidate will have a degree in social work and experience in caring for older adults, especially those with physical and cognitive impairments as well as mental health & substance use issues and a current and valid registration with the BC College of Social Workers. We have recently received funding for this new position who will work in partnership with our full time social worker. Social work services are relatively new at CCL, so the successful candidate would have the opportunity to continue to develop and shape the role to meet the diverse needs of residents, their families and staff members.In this position you will work both independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team to improve the quality of life for both residents and staff. You will assist with admissions, provide comprehensive case management, provide client-centered counseling, and assist in behavior change. Working with staff, you will offer support and education, facilitate resident conferences and are instrumental in challenging behavior meetings and working with the multi-disciplinary team to provide care that meets residents’ individual needs. The Social Worker also supports residents, families and staff around end-of-life care.
