What We Offer
A dedicated team of staff members is committed to ensuring the highest quality of life for all our residents. Professional nursing care is provided on a 24-hour basis to our Residents by Registered Nurses, Registered Psychiatric Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses and Registered Care Aides. The medical care of the Resident is under the direction of their Most Responsible Practitioner. Most Residents choose to see one of our house physicians or our Nurse Practitioner to direct their care while living at Central City Lodge.
We also offer additional services provided by our Rehabilitation Team (consisting of a Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist and Rehabilitation Assistant) as well as the services from a site-dedicated Pharmacist and a visiting Podiatrist and Foot Care Team. All of these additional service help to enhance the overall care and wellbeing of our Residents.
Central City Lodge provides all meals and snacks every day. An open and friendly dining room is available where meals are served in a comfortable and social setting. Personal preferences are considered and a dietitian is available to ensure that special needs are identified and met. Family members, friends and loved ones can purchase meal tickets and are welcome to join residents at lunch or supper. The menu includes a variety of home cooked meals and desserts.

Central City Lodge provides a safe, spacious, comfortable and clean living environment for our residents. Residents’ room are kept clean and personal clothing laundered on site.
The Recreation Department works to provide scheduled activity programs with therapeutic values that are compatible to our residents’ interest, needs and abilities. We believe that in facilitating therapeutic programming and meeting our residents’ needs, we create an environment in which quality of life will flourish.
Our qualified recreation staff assess each residents’ recreational and leisure interests and develop individual care plans to best meet their needs.
ADMISSION TO RESIDENTIAL CARE SERVICES
Admission to Central City Lodge is based on an assessment of each proposed Resident’s individual needs. These needs are determined through an eligibility assessment conducted by a community case manager.
These assessments are then reviewed by the Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) Priority Access team. Appropriate matches to Central City Lodge are determined and made as beds become available.
All inquiries regarding eligibility should be directed to your local community Health Unit. They will then arrange for a case manager to conduct an eligibility assessment as required.
